Nags Head plays host to many annual events – most of which are hosted by adventure retailer https://www.kittyhawk.com/, a company founded in 1974 by a hang gliding pioneer. Some of these events include the OBX Brewtag which is as unique of a celebration as you’ll find anywhere in the United States. During the event, a mini-keg is attached to a homemade flying device and tossed off a flight deck. The winner is decided by whoever’s flying contraption travels the farthest. Pretty neat, huh?
